It doesn't sound corny AT ALL. You guys honestly have no clue how much you've cheered me up today. Hell, I'm so cheered up I'm actually checking ticket prices and making calls to beg relatives for help getting out to siggraph-- I'll probably know tomorrow if I can actually make it.
That's great to hear! I'm really sorry to hear that you've been experiencing so many technical problems, perhaps the solution is to look for an inhouse job, rather than continuing to work as a freelancer? It seems to me that it would be awfully tough (and expensive) to have to cope with the inevitable technical problems that all graphics people will inevitably experience. I think Roberto may be contacting some people, but it might be a good idea to look in your area for a more generic graphics job where at least there will be an IT person on hand to handle those pesky bugs!
We'll definitely miss you at SIGGRAPH, and I hope we'll see you there next friend. Take care and let us know if there's anything we can do.
Hi, Rebecca! I got Bonedaddy's email last night, it made my day!
Things have been pretty sucky lately, software disasters and a bit of a financial crisis due to having to spend mass amounts of time wrestling with bugs rather than putting in billable hours. I was looking forward to siggraph horribly but everything's so last minute now even if I can get ahold of the money I'm not sure if I should even try to get there.
